St Paul contributions to the early Church
How saint Paul's letters impacted early Christianity
Saint Paul had a passion for writing letters, the letters that he wrote are now thought of as the some of the earliest known christian documents, also some of his letters gave the earliest Christians a foundation on which to build the Christian movement. Saint Paul's letters are similar to diary entries but are written to others, educating them, sharing events from his life and travels, and helping solve points of dispute or confusion about the right behaviors for Christians.
How his death as a martyr impacted early Christianity
On his way to Rome to what he knew would be his death, Paul was still writing to the communities he had visited and converted. At the end, he said, “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.”
Saint Paul's death as a martyr impacted early Christianity, in the way that he always loved and never forgot what he truly believed in. He died for his religion which he was proud of, he never turned his back on the christian people as soon as he received his calling.
How his travels impacted early Christianity
As a result of Paul’s conversion to Christianity, Paul was inspired to spread the good news from the Gospel and his story with others. He travelled quite frequently and visited some well-known places around the world. He travelled to these places to preach and spread the good news. He did this by preaching to people and on his second journey he spent a lot of time preaching in the two cities of Athens and Corinth. These two cities are Greek centres that provide teachings about the Greek Culture. Paul also preached in synagogues to Jews and he preached in everyday places like market places and lecture halls. Due to Paul’s travels and his
preaching heaps of people converted to Christianity as he persuaded people to believe in Christ and his teachings. The main message that Paul focused on when he preached was to teach people that Jesus has come for all and that there is a place in every Christian Community for everyone who puts their faith in the risen Lord.
