christian persecution dates back to the beginning of early christian communities, persecutions came from the Jewish religions of which Christianity had developed upon. Jewish religion saw the christian church as a threat to their Jewish identity and beliefs. the Christians had no intentions of circumcision, kosher food and the worshiping in the temple so they removed these aspects from the christian traditions. But the worst offence in the eyes of Jewish religion was that they worshiped Jesus as God. later on, persecution of Christians generally only came from the roman empire , who ruled the land at that current time. christian were persecuted because there beliefs were completely different to the roman religion.
During the era of early Christian persecution, Christians were tortured and killed using many different methods. Stoning was an extremely popular type of persecution at the time, as well as being burnt, crucified, beaten or hung. These methods were all used to punish, torture and kill Christians because of the differences between the two religion's beliefs.
